Thought for the Day - Francis Maude why hasn't he been sacked?

Currently I'm working some odd shift' pattern which means I'm not in touch with what's going on in the world, still having caught the news headlines tonight, I take it that Francis Maude (the face of the governments incompetent and harmful fuel panic?) has yet to do the decent thing, take responsibility, resign or get sacked for creating panic at Britain's filling stations.

Still maybe I'm overreacting glancing at Maude's website I'm reassured to see that hot issues listed on his website, don't include fuel crisis or indeed dangerous and  inflammatory advice by half baked government ministers, fortunately such matters don't trouble his constituents in Horsham.

  1. This should be an easy one for you Tony. He was ordered to create a fuel crisis by Dave & Nick so that the press and public would get of their backs following the budget and NHS outcries and to try and make a bad guy out of the Unite union. Another coallition PR muck up.

  2. Tell us, Tony, how long Chris Huhne clung to office after his ex exposed the points swap and before his collar was felt. Or maybe it is OK for Lib/Dems. Get real man, for politicians cling on as long as possible regardless of their misdemeanours. Did Prescott ever resign for rogering the lady in his office.

Likewise I see some unfortunate copper has just been sentenced for head butting some teenage yob, yet Hon Member Joyce faces no charges for doing likewise to a fellow MP.

Its not one law for the rich but more like one law for those elected to make the laws the rest of us have to comply with.

  3. But wasn't it Cameron who made the first 'don't panic' and 'take some home' speech. It was briefly shown on one Sky News bulletin and then carefully edited for BBC and ITV.

  4. British Cabinet Office Collaborates With French Brainwashing Guru To Change The Way We Think

"On 3 January 2011, following the UK Column's lead article exposing insider dealing between the Cabinet office and political behavioural training charity Common Purpose, the Independent newspaper revealed that David Cameron had also set up a Cabinet Office Behavioural Insight Team. Formed in July last year, the secretive cell is tasked to "dream up psychological tricks to alter our behaviour" - and on a massive scale."
