Points - Opps! Cllr Paul Carters (Con) blog post disappears

You’ll remember last week Bignews Margate covered Cllr. Paul Carters rather passionate condemnation of a reporter er reporting on council business or how taxpayers money gets redistributed to deserving officers like Chief Executive Peter Gilroy.

I’m not sure why but it seems that his blog posting on the subject has now disappeared from KCC’s website, perhaps Camerons boy’s are smoothing things out before the election.

Anyway my posting still exists as does KM ONLINE’s report but the link to Paul Carters blog is dead.

  1. When are they going to smooth out or move out Sandy our beloved leader and his side kick?

  2. That's no great loss, less bullshit to worry about !

Cameron would need a trowel to smooth out Kent's problems with the Conservatives !

Why are all the elected members so silent, could it be they all work in conjunction, as and when it suits them ?

  4. Could it be that Cllr Carters claim's in the letter where not true on more than score. KM did try to speak to KCC via their press office, the extra payment was agreed by the rewards committee but it was not supported by all parties (this is confirmed on the Kent Libdems blog). Its not just the blog entry thats been removed but also the letter. Its not new for KCC politicans to make claims that can be proved to be wrong on close inspection. We had it with claims for Kent TV's so called savings of £1 million which you extracted from one of Gilroys sidekicks.
I now have a theory on why the plug was pulled on Kent TV AFTER the tendering process had taken place. It it was just a question of cash cutbacks then the plug would have been pulled without all those companies spending time and money on the bid.
The theory goes that KCC's preferred bidder was out gunned by another company and so KCC pulled out leaving the field open to market forces it you get my drift!

  6. It's such a pity that Carter didnt vanish along with his Blog, the only sure way to get the truth from him would be to connect him to a lie detector test permanently.

It is truly shocking how some councillors are allowed to continue to operate within the protected arm of KCC, when they provide absolutely no tangible benefit to the electorate and in fact cause far more harm than good.

    Quango's/corporations rule OK .
