Phew what a story

My postings have become fairly irregular, of late but I must say I am have found the current story on Bertie Biggles, Thanet Strife, very interesting.

  1. Indeed... If the local press don't run a story on this one then I've lost all faith in them.

  5. It is Bertie doing a characteristic knocking story.

He concedes there is no case for wrongdoing and no case for demolition. So why is he pushing the issue ?

The fact is Bertie briefs against some local tories whilst avoiding publication of fact about other tories (apparently more to his taste).

One such fact is that the current Rosemary Nelson judicial inquiry has been asked to consider whether, within its terms of reference, it can seek explanation from former Kent Chief constable David Phillips, former Home Secretary Jack Straw and councillor William Hayton of TDC and KPA. This concerning what exactly went on when David Phillips was deployed to the Rosemary Nelson case in 99 and pretty abruptly was off the case.

An inquiry tribunal chaired by a Judge. A most suitable means to clarify the truth of the matters.

One would think that Bertie's mate Bill Hayton would welcome this opportunity ?

After all on the face of it all he would need to do is repeat to this Judge exactly what he allegedly said on oath to a High Court Judge at Aldwych in 1998 ?

The inquiry has a website where you can read the terms of reference. And British Irish Rights Watch has a website on which is their submission to the Judicial Inquiry.

Perhaps two things to watch for on the BIRW submission. First the matter of David Phillips involvement. Second that the man who replaced Phillips revealed his suspect as from the far right group "Combat 18" (IE the alleged links between UDA etc and far right wing groups in England... mmmm the area of complaint David Phillips was refusing to investigate in Kent).

And that is all getting a tad close to home and allegedly Thanet tory associates of one Bill Hayton ....

Bet he is champing at the bit to clear the air on oath.

Righto lads back to debating a non issue about an innovative building near some dreary samey bungalows.

  6. Posing a question as 11.18 and then answering it later? Disinformation like this is part of an ongoing campaign to ridicule the camapign to stop China Gateway. So the deliberate attempts to mis-inform or to denigrate Thanetstrife have moved over to other blogs. I wonder why?

Good to see Rick (aka Irritating bloke) also exporting his cause elsewhere and everywhere.

As for James Maskell, you fail to mention that Bertie has replied 3 times to the fact that you have missed the point he is making. Go back to school laddie and learn to comprehend what you read.

But there we go. Carry on and good luck to you as you go spreading erroneous information; Bertie over on Strife bothers to research before going to print which is clearly more than you do.

  7. Hang about. I was at the meeting in Minster Village hall and counted about 55 people there, one or two who arrived late and one or two who had to leave before the end. A grand total of one person spoke for the development unreservedly, the Chair of the Minster Parish Council speaking as an individual and he got a fair hearing but was heavily criticised by others for his blanket acceptance. Three councillors from TDC were there but were scrupulous in their comments to observe the need not to express an opinion. there were residents from Acol, Minster, Birchington, Broadstairs, Ramsgate and they all spoke out against the project to some degree. The speakers on the platform gave the project a fair airing stating quite clearly that they accepted the need for job creation but had concerns about the water supply, traffic and the loss of farmland.

So whoever you are posting that only 34 turned up and 10 spoke in favour, sorry, you're wrong and trying to undermine the good folk trying to moderate the excesses of the scheme.
