I'm no doubt considered to be a moaning old git, so to redress the balance here are some photos of Margate this Sunday, looking good despite the on-going improvements, I'm sure the M25 was quicker, were do they get these contractors?I would just like to point out as I have mentioned before, the harbour arm is well worth a stroll paritcularly if the IOTA gallery is open, also you can nip into Droit house and see what's occurring.
yes-I was out and about on sunday and it was really great to see the sailing ships,visit the gallery on the harbour arm and get a friendly welcome at Droit House and as a bonus the sun was shining!

Totally agree that part of Margate has been transformed, just shame the rest like the High street has been left to decline. What is LEFT of Margate is not going to get the visitors etc returning. And who is to blame for the mess of a town it is still declining?

ReplyDeleteI've always meant to try a spot of sailing and after living here for over 10 years it's about time I did it.
Great photos, one definitely sees Margate differently from the end of the jetty, it is well worth the effort to stroll along there.
