Briefly on St Peter's Road, I see that this will be closed again on Thursday the 1st June. The above reference number given to me by someone at KCC Highways Department, after taking copious notes about my concerns regarding the missing cycle lane, I was informed and that someone would get back to me, that was Wednesday this is Friday.

Out of curiousity, do you live at St. Peters Road or do you just drive past it a lot? I like the way you highlight the issues on that road. Its had its safety concerns, especially with the terrible crash. The situation wont change without the local residents demand that their elected representatives do something about it and support them in doing so.
ReplyDeleteYou will probably find that closure is to put hatching between the two lines to separate the opposing lanes of traffic as was the case a few years back before removing it to install a narrow cycle lane. Two way for cycles on the pavement?

James I dont live down this road but I frequently travel down it early in the morning and when I go and forrage for food around dinner time.
